WAYS TO FIND SAFETY IN YOUR BODY RIGHT NOW…

Do you feel safe or stuck? Where do you live most of the day? Are you more comfortable in fight/flight or freeze/collapse?

One of signs I was living in a state of freeze was living & watching my life + movements through the eyes of a Birds Eye’s view.

I’d walk into a room & witness myself from the other persons perspective instead of my own.

WAYS TO FIND SAFETY IN YOUR BODY RIGHT NOW:

Sounding - any sounds. You can’t fvck it up. You can’t do it wrong. Sounds & humming stimulate the vagus & literally calm your system down. Try ‘o’ or ‘shhh’ or ‘mmmmm’ to get yourself going.

Touch - your hands are extensions of your heart. Use them. Hold the places that hurt, feel numb, want love or care. Stillness in these places go a long way.

Movement - shaking, non linear expression, creating new shapes & patterns with your body, playing freely & artfully.

Others - co regulation is how we learn to self regulate as a baby. If you didn’t get much co regulation as a little one, it’s likely it’s more challenging to self regulate now. (Use that as info to love yourself more plz)

This is why we self practice.

To feel & find what is safe, true….what is us & what is other.

Even your squirting goals come down to safety, baby.
